Femi Adebayo Opens New Film Hub as Nollywood Prepares for Detty December
Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has unveiled Euphoria 360 Hub, a new film and media production facility in Oregun, Lagos, as Nigeria’s entertainment industry prepares for the busy Detty December season.
The facility was officially commissioned on October 6, 2026, by Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat. The launch attracted several entertainment industry figures, highlighting the growing interest in investment and infrastructure within Nigeria’s creative sector.
What the Film Hub Offers
Euphoria 360 Hub is designed to support different stages of film and media production. Its facilities include production studios, editing rooms, music production spaces and other resources for filmmakers, musicians and content creators.
The centre also houses the Euphoria360 Film Academy, which is expected to provide training, workshops and mentorship opportunities for aspiring filmmakers and other creative professionals.
According to reports, the facility had already hosted productions before its official opening, including Davido’s music video for B4 B4, featuring Mayorkun and FOLA.
Why the Timing Matters
The launch comes ahead of Detty December, a period when Nigeria typically experiences increased entertainment activities, including concerts, film releases, festivals and other cultural events.
With Lagos serving as a major entertainment destination during the festive season, the new facility could provide additional resources for production teams working to meet growing demand for content and entertainment.
The hub’s opening also highlights the importance of preparing production facilities and creative services to support the industry's activities during one of its busiest periods.
A Sign of Nollywood’s Growth
Euphoria 360 Hub represents another step towards expanding the business side of Nollywood beyond acting and filmmaking.
By investing in production infrastructure, post-production services and professional training, the project reflects the opportunities available in areas such as film technology, sound design, editing and creative education.
For emerging filmmakers, facilities like this could create opportunities to develop their skills, collaborate with experienced professionals and bring more Nigerian stories to audiences.
Adebayo described the launch as the realisation of a long-held dream, expressing gratitude to his family, colleagues and supporters who contributed to the project.
As Nollywood continues to evolve, investments in creative infrastructure could help strengthen production capacity, support emerging talent and improve the industry's ability to compete in local and international markets.
