Bovi wraps ‘Guilty as Charged’ world tour with Lagos comedy night.

Laughter, cheers and applause filled the Eko Convention Centre as Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma brought his ‘Guilty as Charged’ world tour to an entertaining close in Lagos.

The comedian staged the grand finale on October 11, 2026, at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, drawing comedy lovers together for a night celebrating his craft and journey across international stages.

Bovi was joined by fellow comedians I Go Save, Mr Patrick and Funny Urch, who delivered performances that added to the evening's entertainment. Their appearances gave the audience a variety of comedic styles before and alongside the headline performance.

Music also featured prominently in the programme, with Loud Urban Choir treating guests to popular Afrobeats songs, providing a lively musical interlude between comedy sets.

The Lagos performance marked the culmination of a tour that began in the United Kingdom, where Bovi performed at Indigo at The O2 in London. He subsequently took the production across six Canadian cities before bringing it home to Nigeria, with performances in Benin City and Lagos.

The tour's conclusion is significant for fans because it represents the final opportunity to experience the ‘Guilty as Charged’ production as it travelled across different countries. For Nigerian audiences, the Lagos finale also offered a homecoming moment, allowing fans to celebrate Bovi's international journey on familiar ground.

The tour's international reach, including its London opening and Canadian dates, further demonstrated the comedian's appeal beyond Nigeria and the growing audience for Nigerian stand-up comedy.

Beyond the laughter, the finale highlighted Bovi's nearly two-decade career in entertainment, spanning stand-up comedy, television, acting, writing and film production. His previous projects include ‘Extended Family’, ‘Man on Fire’ and ‘Naughty by Nature’.
With the Lagos show, Bovi closed another chapter in his live comedy journey, giving fans a memorable homecoming celebration and bringing ‘Guilty as Charged’ to its final verdict
