Fans Flood Sol Beach as Seyi Vibez Headlines at GTA

Music lovers flooded Sol Beach, Elegushi, Lagos, on October 1, 2026, as Nigerian singer Seyi Vibez headlined the Grand Turn-Up Affair (GTA), an Independence Day special organised by Mainland Block Party.
The event brought together fans who gathered to enjoy live music and celebrate Nigeria's 66th Independence anniversary. The concert also came at a significant time in Seyi Vibez's career, as his latest album, SWAGUU, continued to attract attention both locally and internationally.
The album achieved a major milestone by debuting at No. 6 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, marking Seyi Vibez's highest-charting project on the chart at the time. It also debuted at No. 1 on Spotify's Global Top Albums Debut Chart and No. 35 on the Worldwide Apple Music Albums Chart. These achievements highlighted the growing international reach of his music.
During his performance, Seyi Vibez entertained the audience with songs from SWAGUU and his existing catalogue. He performed tracks including "GTA" and "Dejavu", with fans singing along and responding enthusiastically to the music. The performance gave listeners an opportunity to experience his songs live rather than only through streaming platforms.
Other artistes who performed at the event included Peruzzi, Shoday, Terry Apala, Muyeez, Kidd Carder and Boy Muller. Their performances brought different sounds and styles to the celebration, adding variety to the night's entertainment. DJs and hype men also helped keep the audience engaged throughout the event.
The concert was significant for Seyi Vibez because it provided another opportunity to connect with his fans and demonstrate his ability to attract a large live audience. The enthusiastic response to both his older songs and newer releases reflected the connection he has built with listeners.
Mainland Block Party had previously hosted the singer at its May Day edition in Ikeja earlier in the year. His October appearance therefore marked another collaboration between the singer and the event organisers in 2026.
Overall, the Grand Turn-Up Affair combined live music, fan interaction and Independence Day celebrations. For Seyi Vibez, the event offered a platform to showcase his music, strengthen his relationship with his audience and build on the momentum surrounding SWAGUU.
