Chowdeck founders join Endeavor network
Nigerian startup Chowdeck has reached another milestone, with its three co-founders selected to join Endeavor’s global network of entrepreneurs. The development marks a significant step for the fast-growing company and highlights the potential of Nigerian businesses to compete in larger markets.
Founded in October 2021 by Femi Aluko, Olumide Ojo and Lanre Yusuf, Chowdeck connects customers with restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies and other local businesses through its delivery platform. Customers can order meals, household essentials and other everyday items for delivery, while vendors use the platform to reach more buyers and grow their businesses. The company also provides services such as package delivery and bill payments.
Chowdeck’s growth has been substantial. According to Disrupt Africa, the startup operates in 14 cities across Nigeria and Ghana, serving more than 800,000 active customers and nearly 9,000 vendors. Its network includes approximately 8,000 delivery riders, and it processes around 1.2 million orders monthly. In 2025, the company raised $9 million in Series A funding to support its expansion.
Joining Endeavor gives the founders access to an international community of experienced entrepreneurs, mentors and investors. The organisation selects business leaders whose companies demonstrate strong growth potential and the ability to make a wider economic impact.
For Chowdeck’s founders, this network offers opportunities to learn from entrepreneurs who have faced similar challenges, including expanding into new markets, building management teams and navigating different business environments. The selection follows a multi-stage process designed to identify entrepreneurs with the potential to build influential companies.
The achievement also matters for Nigeria’s startup ecosystem. Growing businesses often need more than funding to succeed; they also need experienced advisers, valuable connections and practical knowledge. Access to Endeavor’s global network could help Chowdeck strengthen its operations and pursue further growth.
More broadly, the recognition puts another Nigerian technology company in the international spotlight. As local startups develop solutions for everyday problems, their progress can encourage other founders and attract greater interest in Nigeria’s technology sector.
Chowdeck’s selection is therefore more than a personal achievement for its founders. It reflects the growing ambition of Nigerian entrepreneurs to build businesses that create jobs, support local merchants and serve customers across African markets.
