AREWA TECH FEST OPENS LAGOS EXCHANGE TALKS

Arewa Tech Fest Opens Lagos Exchange Talks

Arewa Tech Fest is working to connect tech entrepreneurs in Northern Nigeria with investors and business owners in Lagos.

The aim is to help young people with good ideas find the support, funding and connections they need to grow their businesses.

The initiative, called the Lagos Exchange, will focus on bringing people in the technology industry together to share ideas, discuss opportunities and build partnerships.

Arewa Tech Fest has previously held events in Kano in 2024 and Katsina in 2025. The Lagos Exchange is another step towards helping Northern Nigerian businesses grow and reach more people.

The programme is also expected to create opportunities for startups to meet investors, learn from experienced business owners and find ways to improve their businesses.

Although Lagos is one of Nigeria's biggest business centres, many entrepreneurs in the North also have ideas and skills that could make a difference. By bringing both regions together, the initiative hopes to give these entrepreneurs more chances to succeed.

The event was originally scheduled for October 21–22, 2026, but the organisers later announced that it had been postponed. A new date is expected to be announced through their official channels.

Overall, Arewa Tech Fest hopes to use the Lagos Exchange to bring people together, support young entrepreneurs and create more opportunities for Nigeria's technology industry.
